This jacket is a reproduction of a costume coat from the 1930s-1940s. The original piece was made by A.T. Jones & Sons, a Baltimore costume shop founded in 1868. For over 150 years, the store produced costumes for opera houses and theatre companies across the country.
Cut from pale green velvet, the coat is embellished with floral trim—a pattern of blue and gold French knots edged with gold bullion thread.
